Remembering Aaron Harper
Family, friends and colleagues,
Thank you for considering your support and donation in memory of my late husband, Aaron Harper.
Two days before Christmas in 2022, Aaron was diagnosed with upper GI cancer while travelling overseas together in New Zealand. Over the following nine months, Aaron remained incredibly positive and happy right through to when he passed away on the first day of Spring, 2023.
As tragic as it was, the choice of day for the end of Aaron's story was remarkably beautiful, particularly due to his love and affinity with flowers and his garden at our home. To say Aaron's cancer was aggressive would be an understatement, too quickly was such a wonderful loving life force ripped from this world and the space he left, at home, at work, and all the hearts along the way will be felt for many decades to come.
As much as Aaron loves flowers, which we are willing to accept at our home in his spirit; I know Aaron would have deeply valued your contribution to support the many other people who will face a similar journey ahead.
Your contribution will be specifically used to support clinical trials, and supporting important research into making oesophageal cancer less of a death sentence than it currently is. To that, I couldn't think of a more wonderful way to honour my husband's death than in helping others, like he always did throughout his life.
With love,
Joshua Whitcombe
